Well, not totally shameless, but close.
The 2004 Weblog Awards are open for nominations. If you like EIKIW well enough to nominate it for a category, any category, I won't try to stop you. Really, any category at all.
I missed out on the "Best New Blog" category by 18 days. A 2004 start-up is required, and my one year blogaversairy will be December 13th. As near as I can tell, EIKIW is eligible in the following categories:
Best Overall Blog
Best Conservative Blog
Best Election Coverage
Best Blog Design
Best Essayist
And,
Ecosystem Based Categories
Best of the Top 100 - 250 Blogs
They're adding more categories all the time. If you see a better one don't hesitate.
A post like this one would also qualify for "Best Sycophant Blog" but they don't have that category.
Yet.
