The Pacific Research Institute has released their 2005 Index of Leading Environmental Indicators (easy version here). It contains mostly good news for the environment, which I'm sure is causing consternation in some quarters.

Favorite blogospheric reference: the invocation of Godwin's law.
It might be added that when Pachauri compared Lomborg to Hitler, he ran afoul of what is known in the Internet blogosphere as “Godwin’s Law,” which holds that resorting to reductio ad Hitlerum is a sure sign that someone is losing an argument.
The report is fairly balanced and definitely worth a read.
