The New York Sun reports today that Cindy Sheehan has an ultimatum for Hillary Clinton.
The New York Sun
War protester Cindy Sheehan came to New York last night with a blunt warning for Senator Clinton: End your support for the war in Iraq or else...
Mrs. Clinton is "waiting for the best political moment to say" she opposes the war, Ms. Sheehan said during a 15-minute speech. "You say it or you're losing your job," she said, provoking a roar of approval from the audience. Mrs. Clinton, believed to be a possible presidential contender in 2008, has said she supports the war in Iraq and has pushed for a greater troop presence in the country. [emphasis added]
So far the major media, with the exception of the NY Sun, has not chosen to report Sheehan's threat. Reuters was there but somehow missed it. The Stamford Advocate was there, too; they noted the "thunderous applause" but not the cause.
Hillary is going to find herself in the same stew that John Kerry found himself in: unable to satisfy her Party's far left base and appeal to the mainstream of America at the same time. The big difference is that Kerry was inept, Hillary is not.
