I've been invited to join the contributing staff at eTalkinghead, a group blog which focuses on "Political commentary, analysis and opinion on important events of the day." It is an interesting blog that I have visited for months. There is a wide spectrum of views represented there, some of them quite well. Left, right, middle and some that don’t seem to have a compass heading associated with them. It’s fun to see very diverse opinions side-by-side.
I've committed to writing a least one piece a week for them and I'm looking forward to it. Above all I’m looking forward to preaching to people who are not in the choir (though I do love the choir). Now that summer is here an extra piece per week seems like a lot. This weeks piece is called John Kerry Yanks GOP's Chain.
John Kerry has been floating a trial balloon (or would that be "running something up the flagpole") about the upcoming Democratic convention in Boston. In an effort to find loopholes in their very own, brand new, campaign finance "reform" laws, top Dems have been kicking around the idea of delaying Kerry's acceptance speech in order to continue spending money that lawfully would be denied them after the convention.Take a look at eTalkinghead. Let me know what you think.By speculating publicly Kerry is just yanking the GOP’s chain, and trying to increase the audience for what promises to be a long, boring acceptance speech.
